Power in a Shower, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mobile showers for the homeless, is proud to announce its collaboration with the City of New Haven, Connecticut. The project will bring much needed relief to marginalized communities and marks an important milestone in Power in a Shower’s mission to help those who are most vulnerable.
The project is made possible through the support of Mayor Erlick and Velma George, as well as other members of the city council. Mayor Erlick had this to say: “We are committed to ensuring that our homeless neighbors have access to basic needs like shelter and sanitation. This partnership with Power in a Shower will help us provide more resources and assistance across New Haven.”
Velma George also praised the initiative: “It has been my goal since being elected to ensure that all members of our community are treated with respect and dignity. Providing mobile showers for our homeless population is an important step towards achieving this goal.”
Power in a Shower founder, Walter Harris, expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture: “We are absolutely thrilled about our partnership with New Haven. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities like shelter and sanitation, regardless of their circumstances or background. We look forward to transforming lives with this project.”
This collaboration marks an important milestone for Power in a Shower as they continue their mission of helping those who need it most. They hope that by working together with local municipalities they can make a difference in people’s lives, one shower at a time. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!
